World at One today reported on the figures published by the Office of National Statistics this morning. Over 500,000 immigrants from Eastern Europe have come to Britain in the 18 month period since Poland and others joined the European Union.
It's the largest wave of immigration this country has experienced in its history and the influx has placed a huge strain on the public services within our country. There can be no doubt from the comments of the population experts interviewed, that there are grave worries about whether our tiny island can accommodate such numbers. Everyone seemed to acknowledge that this is an important issue, yet there wasn't one representative from our three main political parties prepared to appear on the programme and reassure the public that they would tackle this issue and call for an end to immigration.
So it's left to the toothless Andrew Green from Migrationwatch to make all the correct noises that are expected of him . . . pressure on housing, taxpayer footing the bill, many more immigrants than the Government says . . . yet who, of course, is able to achieve absolutely nothing to stop the flood.
Freedom's inbox is always full of emails praising the Fab Four - Richard Littlejohn, Peter Hitchens, Jon Gaunt and Andrew Green, and I suppose that is just a sign of how successful they have been as the Establishment's safety valves that even some BNP supporters have been duped into believing that they are 'on our side'.
Their job for the Government is to articulate the concerns of those worried about immigration in the language of their particular field of influence in the hope that any restlessness on behalf of the electorate can be soothed by their words. "Gaunty knows what's going on," is a favourite quip in the emails to Freedom, and my response is . . . and yet he is doing nothing about it!
Someone who is doing something about it is brave Donna Bailey, standing for the British National Party today in a local council by-election for Horsham District Council's Holbrook West ward.
Donna knows she has a mountain to climb taking on the Tories and Lib-Dems in a ward where they polled 1,000 and 700 votes respectively in May. Yet she is prepared to stand up and give the voters in the ward the chance to voice their concerns at the ballot box. A far more constructive course of action than the weasel words of the Fab Four. There's an interview with Donna on Simon Darby's excellent blog. www.simondarby.blogspot.com
Matt Monro! How could I have missed him off my favourite artists. Matt's a class act and his music is as enjoyable today as it was at the height of his popularity. He was the bus conductor from Shoreditch with the golden voice, Britain's answer to Frank Sinatra. Sadly, Matt is no longer with us, having lost his battle with cancer back in 1985. At his last performance he sang Softly as I leave you as his finale and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Great singer and great songs and I'm putting him on my favourites as soon as I have posted this afternoon blog.

In my opinion you do Sir Andrew Green a disservice by grouping him with Richard Littlejohn, Peter Hitchens and Jon Gaunt. As far as I am aware, Sir Andrew is the only member of the Ruling Class to highlight some of the quantifiable fallacies of his peers. Whereas the commentators you mention successfully frame or spin this data to directly discourage the electorate from voting for you. At this they are quite successful, judging by traffic to www.bnp.org.uk and the popularity of many policies until they are associated with the BNP.
John Gaunt and Billy Bragg are two sides of the same coin. Both live in the country sending their children to private or minimally diverse schools. They both preach equality of different “population clusters”/races which is completely at variance with many years of scientific empirical observation and more recent biological evidence. Neither lives with the consequences of their duplicity. I would hazard a guess that Littlejohn and Hitchens celebrate diversity in a similar fashion and that not one single commentator in the UK who is paid to commentate acknowledges that equality is a myth.
Perhaps it will take another Ruling Class member to successfully form and promote diversitywatch.com.
I acknowledge the points you make Bert.
But just consider how often Andrew Green gets trotted out by the media to make his pronouncements on immigration.
When the politics of immigration is under discussion, it should be politicians that the media turn to for comment. They should be getting a response from the BNP which actually campaigns on the immigration issue. Instead they use Andrew Green to provide a non-campaigning soft option and who can do nothing to change the status quo.

However in my opinion migrationwatch.com has changed the status quo regarding immigration. This in turn enables one to raise this topic with those who superficially support diversity without being abused. It is as though the Ruling Class have giving the electorate permission to discuss immigration, whilst it’s paid commentators guide the electorate away from the BNP.
I raised some points regarding the operating environment of the BNP on Simon Darby’s blog regarding Royal Mail and BNP literature and the UAF and the Electoral Commission , unfortunately without response. Hopefully your readers may be able to enlighten me.
